How It Works
The Grit Guard Washboard is the new slant for scrubbing dirt from car wash tools. Grit Guard technicians sought to make the Grit Guard even better at trapping car wash dirt, and this washboard helps detailers scrub embedded dirt and grime right out of the wash mitt. This slanted scrubbing board attaches directly to the Grit Guard wash screen, and helps loosen and channel dirt from the wash mitt directly into the bottom of the bucket. Separating abrasive dirt from the wash water and wash mitt reduces the chances of installing swirls and scratches on your shiny car paint. The tall Washboard sits high above the wash screen, so users have an easy time dipping into the bucket to vigorously scrub abrasive particles from the wash mitt or sponge. Once the dirt falls through the Washboard, it settles in the still water underneath the Grit Guard Bucket Bucket Insert where it is less likely to end up back on the wash mitt where it can scratch paint. Scrub out microfiber wash mitts, plush car wash sponges, chenille car wash noodles, car wash mop heads, and any other favorite car wash tool. Keep a second Grit Guard Washboard in your wheel cleaning bucket and scrub brake dust, road grime, and heavy dirt from wheel, tire, brake caliper, and wheel well brushes. The Grit Guard Washboard is the perfect accessory to take your Grit Guard Wash Bucket Insert to new levels of dirt-trapping performance. Knock dirt and grime sideways with the Grit Guard Washboard, and scrub out every bit of filth from your wash mitt for a scratch-less car wash experience. The Grit Guard Bucket Insert is required for dirt-trapping effect, and is sold separately.
Designed For Better Car Washing
Grit Guard 's Washboard adds extra scrubbing power to help ensure a scratch-less car wash. A clean wash mitt picks up dirt and grime with less chance of scrubbing abrasive filth into paint. All those bits of dirt, grit, and dust act like sandpaper, grinding billions of tiny scratches into shiny clear coat that take on the appearance of swirls and spider webs that dull shine. The Grit Guard Washboard attaches directly to the Grit Guard Bucket Insert and adds a new dimension to the cleaning power and performance of the wash tool. The Grit Guard Bucket Insert revolutionized the car washing activity with a simple principle: keep wash water still. The small baffle with scrubbing screen holds water still at the bottom of the bucket, which gives heavier abrasive dirt and grime a place to settle away from the wash mitt. This action reduces the chances of picking that dirt back up in the wash mitt after dipping in the bucket for more soap, and prevents scrubbing swirls and scratches into the paintwork with the those abrasive particles. Now the Grit Guard Washboard gives a raised and sloped surface for users to easily scrub any filth from the mitt directly to the bottom of the bucket without disturbing the debris stuck down there. Just when you thought washboard technology was dated, Grit Guard applied this ancient tool to new and exciting use: keeping car paint scratch and swirl free!
Engineered For Solid Performance
A lot of thought goes into bringing a new product to market, and the Grit Guard Washboard is engineered to perform. Three simple pieces snap together to create the perfect, contoured shape to fit to the Grit Guard wash screen and your car wash bucket. The grille of the flat Washboard surface looks odd with strange angles and oblong shape, but once propped up with the custom fit snap-in legs, the slots are revealed to channel dirt straight down and underneath the Grit Guard Bucket Insert. Fluted edges on the snap fittings on the two legs increase friction and ensure a solid grip with the Washboard screen. The legs will not pull out, and the Washboard will always stay at the perfect angle of attack for taking dirt out of any filthy wash mitt. The wash screen is also designed with a snap-on lip that hooks into the finger pull hole of the Grit Guard Bucket Insert. This creates a mechanical bond between the Washboard and Grit Guard Screen, and turns the two devices into one solid dirt-scrubbing car wash bucket filter. The Grit Guard Washboard and Grit Guard Bucket Insert snap together, won 't pull out, and won 't fold under the intense pressure of scrubbing dirt and filth out from your wash mitt, where it doesn 't belong.
Made Better In America
Grit Guard is a small, family-owned and operated business. These American entrepreneurs saw a need in the automobile industry: nothing separated the dirt and grit out from car wash water in the wash bucket. They came up with the Grit Guard to hold the wash water still, keep the dirt away from the soapy solution, and help prevent swirls and scratches caused by rubbing that dirt back on the paintwork. Now they came up with the Grit Guard Washboard to add a new dimension of wash mitt cleaning for an even safer car washing experience. In these days of cheap imported tools, nicknacks, and imitation products, it 's a rare opportunity to have the choice and ability to back a compatriot and local producer in our own country. Pick up a Grit Guard Washboard today, and support our own home-grown ingenuity and genius at work.
